Plymouth edged closer to the top six in League One with a convincing 3-0 win against Barnsley at Oakwell.
A double from Owen Oseni either side of Lorent Tolaj’s 15th league goal of the season sealed all three points for the Pilgrims in south Yorkshire.
The result leaves the hosts without a win in six games and just five points above the drop zone.
Plymouth took a deserved lead in the 16th minute after the returning Tolaj flicked the ball over two Barnsley defenders into the path of Oseni, who smashed past Owen Goodman from close range.
The hosts started the second half well but it counted for nothing after Tolaj and Oseni combined well again, with the Swiss forward firing low to double his side’s lead in the 57th minute.
Referee Tom Reeves pointed to the spot in the 79th minute after Jack Shepherd brought down Oseni in the box, and the 22-year-old stepped up to double his tally for the day.
